Swedish Warmblood Inspection

On Sept. 6, 18 SWB horses, 1 Appendix SWB and 2 Thoroughbred mares were inspected and graded at Los Alamos Dressage Center.

Jan Ove-Olsson and Leif Nilsson from Sweden were the very accomplished judges.

Los Alamos Dressage Center is pleased to report that 10 offspring of our stallions were inspected and received very good comments and scores. Five of them were bred at Los Alamos and we are delighted to report that all of them received "9" of a possible "10" for type and conformation.

Eight offspring of L.A.Baltic Inspiration were inspected and 7 of them received Premium, Class 1 status!

In addition, Abby's Sunrise (L.A. Baltic Inspiration x Abiline) owned by Pat Broekema of Florida, received scores: Type 9; Head Neck Body 8; Legs 8; Walk 7; Trot 8; Canter 7. She received Diploma status after being ridden at her inspection in Florida.
L.A. Baltic Mystic Rose (L.A. Baltic Inspiration x L.A. Rose Of Sweden) owned by Barbara Mc Guire of Kansas was given Class 1 status in dressage at her inspection in Ill. She scored and "8" for type and conformation.

Follow Your Heart (L.A. Baltic Inspiration x TB mare) owned by Dr. and Mrs. Mueller

Baltic Rose (L.A. Baltic Inspiration x TB mare) a 5 year old mare by L.A. Baltic Inspiration and owned by Cara Tozour scored 8 for type and conformation, 8 for head, neck and body, 7 for legs, 8 for walk and 7 for trot. (Class 1)

NL Baltic Anika (L.A. Baltic Inspiration x Heavenly Rose, a Trak. Mare) owned by George Fleming

Perfekt Inspiration (L.A. Baltic Inspiration x ISR mare) a 2 year old appendix SWB mare by L.A. Baltic Inspiration x ISR mare also Graded Class 1 and scored 8 for type and conformation, 8 for head, neck and body, 8 for legs, 8 for walk and 7 for trot She is bred and owned by Joanne Pelosi. (Class 1)

The High Score Foals of the inspection site were L.A. Baltic Mantra (L.A. Baltic Inspiration x L.A. Rose Of Sweden by Burggraf). She received 25 points of a possible 30 scoring "9" for type and conformation, "7" for legs and "9" for gaits. She shared the high score with a lovely bay colt, Azreal (Amiral x Zorn daughter)bred and owned by Mimi Lufkin. He scored "8" for type and conformation, "8" for legs and "9" for gaits.

The SWB commission also made special mention of the elite SWB mares, Utrilla (Utrillo x Hetty by Drabant) and Rose Of Sweden (Burggraf x Prima by Magnifique.) Imported from Sweden by Los Alamos as yearlings, these two mares have both been given Premium Elite status in the SWB stud book based on their outstanding performance as broodmares. Bronze plaques and ribbons were presented to Gail Carmona, owner of Los Alamos.

Both received 48 of a possible 60 points
