L.A. Baltic Odyssey

Larry Poulin driving Cody (L.A. Baltic Odyssey) and the Holsteiner, Camden, all owned by Natasha Grigg, MA. competed for the USET in the 2003 World Championships in France.

2003 FEI WORLD PAIRS DRIVING CHAMPIONSHIP
L.A. Baltic Odyssey, (show name Cody) just 6 years old and in training with Larry Poulin for less than a year before qualifying for a spot on the USET Pairs Driving Team, showed his remarkable talent and heart in the 2003 World Championships.

"Cody" has always performed exceptionally well in the dressage driving phase and it was Larry's intention to use him for this part of the competition and then to team up his more experienced horses, Camden and Conyer for the maraton and cones.  Although very green to the sport, "Cody" was needed in all three phases of the competitive driving competition and poured his heart out to do his best. The USET placed 8th overall.

Cody also won the Pair Horse Classic at the Fair Hill International show Oct. 23-26 where they won both marathon and cones and placed 2nd in dressage driving.

Baltic Jubilation

Spartacus' Innersta a SWB mare by Spartacus) 1998 Gelding bred by Lisa Dewey and owned by Cindy Latham, Scottsboro, AL.

At the April 19 and 20, 2003, show "Jubi" competed in the 5 year old FEI Young Horse Test where he received a score of 7.5! The show was at Chateau Elan, GA, and sponsored by Turning Point Events. (Congratulations Cindy and rider, Debbie!)
At the USDF Region 3 Championships:
"Jubi" was Reserve Champion at Training Level, Open (68.07%) and 5th Place at First Level, Open (64.58%.) He also went on to place in the USDF Horse of the Year Awards: FEI 5 year old Young Horse 17th ( 65.556%) and USDF All-Breeds (SWANA): Training Level, Open - 4th Place (66.818%) and First Level, Open - 4th Place (65.556%).

Baltic Jubilation (L.A. Baltic Inspiration x Spartacus Innersha)

Melissa earned her USDF Qualified Rider Award this year.

In July, Melissa and Dodger were on the winning Training Level 3 & 4 team at the USDF Region 1 Jr/YR Team Championship in Leesburg, VA. They won their Dressage Seat Equitation class at that show.

In August, Melissa and Dodger were Silver Medalists at First Level at the Northeast Jr/YR Championship in Darien, CT, winning the Dressage Seat Equitation portion of the competition. Melissa and Dodger were the Junior Training Level Reserve Champions at the BLM Championship, and were the Junior Training Level Champions at the ESDCTA Championship for the second year in a row.

They completed the show season by finishing fifth in a class of 25 at the USDF Region 1 Championship in Lexington, VA on October 19th.

Jeannie writes that Omega displays a most willing disposition and is a "'super horse with a kind disposition."

In her first year showing over fences she easily adapted to the Pre Green hunter division without refusing or spooking at any fences. She sailed over all the courses and was second or third in every class. And in the whole season of 7 horse shows she pulled only one rail. We are pleased and looking forward to springtime.

L.A. Baltic River Shadow (Riverman x L.A. Rose of Sweden) owned by Patty Crawford.

Placed 6th in the yearling filly class at Devon in 2003 in a class with over 30 entrants.
