Dressage and Long
Reining Clinic
with Bo Jenå
April 2 & 3, 2004
Los Alamos Dressage Center is pleased to announce that it will sponsor a Clinic with Mr. Bo Jenå, director of the dressage program at Flyinge, the National Stud of Sweden, on April 2 & 3, 2004 at Los Alamos Dressage Center, Freehold, NJ.
The auditing fee is $20.00. Since Bo is so well known and respected especially in Europe for his extensive knowledge and ability with long reining, he is willing to include some long reining in your lesson, if so desired. Long reining is especially useful to improve collection and suppleness in your horse.
This clinic will offer the following options:
1)
45 minute dressage riding session
2) 30 minute long reining session
Bo Jenå is a world renowned expert on training horses from the ground using Long Reining techniques as well as training and showing sport horses "In-Hand" for inspections and breed shows. In addition, he is a Grand Prix Dressage trainer, a member of the International Trainers Club, competitor and FEI level judge in Sweden. His previous clinics in 2002 and 2003 were extremely well received as he proved to be not only a very talented and experienced horseman, but also a wonderful communicator with the sharp eye of an experienced judge.
Bo has worked at Flyinge, the National Stud of Sweden, for the past 30 years, where he has directed the dressage program, worked side by side with Kyra Kyrklund, and has trained and shown numerous stallions in long reins as well as under saddle up through Grand Prix dressage. He has also presented stallions in hand at inspections all around Scandinavia.
If
you have ever attended the stallion show at Flyinge, you might have seen
Bo riding one horse while driving another or showing movements of Grand
Prix dressage with horses in long reins or even running with horses that
seemed to defy gravity while trotting in-hand. Currently on a sabbatical
leave from Flyinge, he is staying in the USA and could be seen standing
and running many horses at "Dressage At Devon" this year.
